“I-ZAR GROUP Chief Executive sells Ghana on the UKIP platform in the UK”

With a guiding principle that female entrepreneurial development is imperative, Ghana’s young consultant and entrepreneur, Rashida Saani Nasamu was invited to the UK Independence Party (UKIP) conference to make a presentation on the need for a bigger trade relations between the United Kingdom and Ghana for a direct impact on up and coming entrepreneurs.

Being one of the tv personality pioneers of the “Made in Ghana” advocacy media campaign that has gradually grown into a national phenomenon, it was no accident that the former morning Tv host was chosen from Ghana based on her passion for infant entrepreneurial development and steady nurture of various affiliates of the I-ZAR Group. The event which was aired live on BBC saw in attendance many stakeholders and observers from in and outside of the United Kingdom.

Speaking at the event, Rashida noted that, trade is a guaranteed source of Africa’s growth and transition out of poverty. She therefore called for fair trade deals between Africa and the European Union (EU). She indicated that current EU policies promote dependence, a situation which neither benefits the EU, nor Africa, emphasizing that, mutual trade opportunities are indispensable to the growth of African economies.

This event comes on the heels of the Africa CEO forum on “africapitalism” in Geneva, Switzerland, which was moderated by Rashida. The Africa CEO Forum is the world’s leading high-level international meeting of African CEOs that is organized annually to discuss the future of the African continent which attracts the most respected and influential people driving the growth of Africa.
