Rashida Nasamu Moderates Africa CEO Forum in Geneva

I-ZAR Group Chief Executive, Rashida Saani Nasamu has been appointed a moderator at the premium African CEO Forum scheduled for March 17-19 in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Forum is the world’s leading high-level international meeting of African CEOs that is organized annually to discuss the future of the African continent.

Rashida would be moderating the session on the success of African Capitalism dubbed “Africapitalism”, a concept that talks about the growing recognition of the role played by private sector in the socio-economic development and transformation of the continent.

Some of the Speakers at the session include Jean-Philippe Prosper, Vice-President, Société Financière Internationale, Valentine Rugwabiza, CEO Rwanda Development Board, Strive Masiyiwa, Chairman and founder, Econet Wireless, Pierre-Antoine Balu, Partner and Africa Advisor, PWC, Albert Assien, Ecobank group CEO. Other speakers include Mo Ibrahim, president of the Mo Ibrahim foundation, Dr. Wiebe Boer, CEO of the Tony Elumelu Foundation and more.

Rashida, through her show on e.tv has handled other activities for growth in Ghana such as the annual ‘Made In Ghana’ month she has championed over the years in a bid to project as well as drive patronage of ‘Ghana made’ goods and services for local industry survival.

She recently spearheaded a Ghana version of the ‘one billion rising’ of women around the world to say no to violence against women, raised funds for some victims of the Westgate Mall attack and continues to donate to the less privileged with support from some state authorities and corporate Ghana, through an organized event annually that is currently gaining firm grounds.

In a related development, Rashida has appeared on a number of international platforms on presentations including that of the American cancer society which has earned her another invitation on a presentation at the Atlanta girls’ school in the U.S.A. soon.

 

Rashida is a Communications Consultant, an entrepreneur, organisational development strategist and a youth wealth creation advocate.

 

She has worked as a broadcast journalist for many years and still an anchor to the flagship morning show on e.tv Ghana, ‘AWAKE’. With a masters in communication (International PR) and currently enrolled on an executive Master of business administration (EMBA) programme, hostess of the 90-minute social, political and economic show, Rashida, has also been nominated Ghana’s best female morning show anchor severally.
